We are Tabaadul
We’re passionate about learning. Don’t you find that throughout our lives, each one of us plays the role of teacher and student? The pool of knowledge never ceases to drain. Tabaadul aims to make high quality education accessible to all. It connects educators with learners without the exchange of money. That’s right, no tuition fees! Thus, eliminating confusing currency rates, international payment fees, refunds and all the other fun things.
It capitalises on the age-old system of bartering, where services were exchanged without the physical exchange of money. It has been a lifeline for money-strapped families. It is especially common among the home-ed community where parents and educators pool their
skills together and exchange knowledge and skills without paying each other tuition fees.
Having successfully connected families in this way before, I imagined the possibilities of connecting more families locally and even globally. The concept for Tabaadul was born.
But why stop at lessons only? As the exchange of money is removed and the exchange of time – an equally valuable and limited commodity – is used, families can negotiate the length of time of a variety of lessons and services. Services offered can range from scholarly lessons, chores/errands, car share to even holiday home exchange.
Mission
Tabaadul hopes to strengthen the rope of unity so that beneficial knowledge is shared across the globe in an easier and hassle-free way. Our mission is not in only providing a platform where knowledge is shared, but where new friendships are forged too.
